Capt Ricky Frank had a great day placing third overall in the 7th Annual Chasentailz Tournament over the weekend with their 28.8 lb smoker King Mackerel (Kingfish) and three others that were just a hair smaller. They were drifting and bump trolling with live baits at the Juno Ridge when they got on the fish. Capt. Ricky reported bouncing around a bit before finding the fish. Once he came across a school of good marks, he pounded that small area hard until the fish were ready to bite. Being prepared, knowledgeable about the fish you are targeting and extremely patient are all keys to success when using this technique. The proof is in the pudding!
