Capt. Matt Budd spent the morning hunting for trophy Snook during the mullet run in Jupiter. Based off his photos and report, he sure found what he was looking for! The mullet have been thick up in Jupiter this week with a good Snook bite happening in the inlet and the nearby bridges both early in the morning and late at night. Use big swimbaits, flair hawk jigs or live mullet around active mullet schools for your best change of finding that big thump. Outgoing tide has been the most productive, and is not uncommon during the mullet run because the water becomes a bit dirtier, the fish have a little harder time distinguishing your lure or baitfish from the masses and become more willing to strike.
