The crew aboard the Reel E Sea all were lucky enough to land their first Dolphin (Mahi Mahi) last week while spending a day on the water. They trolled small skirted lures and jet heads around free floating debris found in 600' of water or deeper. Trolling remains your best bet of covering some ground and encountering a few Mahi right now. The schools have been spread about and have been mostly smaller fish. If you locate a big school of fish, switch over from the troll to chunk bait or small jigs like the Shimano Baby Orca jig to keep the school interested and fired up around your boat.
